Alpine tour to Pitztaler Urkund
[22/06/2010]Was away this weekend with Jürgen a mountain guide from our alpine club, to wrap up my mountaineering skills, was really great, learned a lot and we made the ridge crossing to the Pitztaler Urkund. Only this global warming thing had change the concept of summer and winter giving us 40 Cm new snow, made the bike rally to the valley quite interesting. [28/04/2010]Failure on the attempt of Zumsteinspitze (4563m) Last time I tried to climb the Zumsteinspitze we had to give up because of bad weather, so this weekend we tried our second attempt. After a night with almost no sleep and 2 hours of altitude sickness I manage the Vincent Pyramide (4215m), two from the group also went to the Parrotspitze afterwards. For the second day we had planned the Zumsteinspitze but hat to give up because of bad weather. But we had a really great time anyway.
